After so many years as professional photographer I was looking for change. Drone photography offered a new perspective for me. Everything looked much better from above.
I live in the beautiful city of Stockholm where I photographed all well and less known areas. I have been everywhere in all kind of weather and light conditions and even in all 4 seasons.
Sometimes you has to be open for any kind of changes. All alternative or conventional ideas where welcome. One day one of my close friends Rostam bought second hand DJI Spark drone. He asked me to meet him and see his new toy. He never succeeded with that and he joined me instead.
Unexpected visit
My friend and me was resting at the one of the the most visited parks in my neighbourhood. It was Ivar Los Park at Södermalam. The weather was really nice at the late summer afternoon. Many people had a picnic enjoying the view over the city. Stockholm is well known for its beautiful sunsets.
By surprise my friend Rostam arrived and he had with him his friend too. He was a drone pilot as well and owned DJI Mavic Pro zoom. After short preparation they decided to take of and fly in different directions. It wasn’t windy at all and they explained to me that wind can crate many problems if it’s to strong. They allowed med to hold their controller and watch at screen. My reaction was… wow. Two days after they shared a few photos from that evening… and I was persuaded.
Drone photography was born
Whats happened next? Well I was holding in my hands a brand new drone. My choice was a small and lovely, DJI Mavic Air. This is the begining of my drone photography.
Photographed with my Sony 7r and Sony 28mm F/2.
